The Humble Tomato

Whilst the Granny brigade advocate that tomatoes cause Gout, the rest of the world`s nutritional experts say that tomatoes are the best health food in existence.

Tomatoes are apparently a miracle food in helping to prevent Prostate Cancer and provide benefit against a whole load of other ailments, plus supplying the body with vitamins for a healthy lifestyle.

So, stuff yourself with tomatoes or gulp down gallons of tomato juice and die of old age.

I hate tomatoes.
I don't mind a little juice with my beans so I can dip my bread and butter in. but give me too much and I have a strop.

I like to dip celery in the juice, provided sufficient vodka, Worcestershire and Tabasco have been added.....:)

I like thinly sliced tomatoes on tuna sandwiches with lettuce, but I couldn't eat a full one on its own.

I've read that one of the best things to have to eliminate cancer and many more serious illnesses, is cannabis oil.

Canned tomatoes are what you should eat for health benefits. Or properly ripe ones from your garden as I do.

This thread is a timely reminder that I need to plant my tomato seeds. Time to dust off the old heated propagator...

Well......some do, some don't. I get Gout & when I researched it, much to my surprise, I found that there isn't much agreement regarding what you can & can't eat :(

:tu: So much conflicting advice just makes it harder to decide what to eat..I reckon a little bit of what you don't like and a little bit of what you do like should even matters up.In other words eat everything but in the correct proportions..
