VM just called
At this time of night!
It came from their official 0800 number as i declined it first and googled it. Anyway he just offered me 3 months of sports and movies for £17 a month, this is after he asked me if i liked watching sports and movies and i said no :) I would have snapped it up if i was remotely interested but i'm not. I asked when my contract was up as i thought it wasn't until next May, apparently it's up in 6 weeks time. I mentioned that i'll be cancelling it all apart from the broadband as 90% of my viewing is now Netflix and Prime, he hastily ended the call, maybe he thought i was going to cancel on him :) I've just looked at my account, upgrades and offers, and this offer wasn't there. Has anyone else been offered this or should i feel special? |

Re: VM just called
I'll see what they come back with after i cancel.
If i could get the lot for about £50 i'd think about keeping it, the tivo is bloody handy for recording as i work shifts. |

Another huge factor was the offer plusnet gave me upto 38mbs with 9mbs upload unlmited plus evening and weekend calls for £18.95p/m for 6 months then £28.95p/m afterwards. They've offered me the 80mbs upgrade if i want for a extra £5p/m with 19mbs upload speeds. I really don't want to leave VM but think i have no choice as you've probably seen me mention a few times all y tv viewing is now done via online services such as xfinity. |

Re: VM just called
How the hell can a 6Mb connection be better than a 50Mb?

Also from what i've seen BT own plusnet and BT are getting ready to launch a upto 1gbs download speeds with 200mbs upload speeds in 2015. Bet it'll cost a bit lol. ---------- Post added at 23:44 ---------- Previous post was at 23:43 ---------- Quote:

The next step up will be to around 100mb when they finally introduce vectoring to combat the issues of crosstalk. What estimate do you get with plusnet ? I'm on BT Infinity and my router syncs at the maximum 80/20 with real time speeds day and night of 76/19 , I have absolutely no issues with streaming and trust me it gets tested on a daily basis. |
