Kahuna
I have received an offer in the mail to upgrade to Big Kahuna. Price for 152mb briadband, 230 tv channels including 43 in hd using Tivo plus an extra V HD box.Unlimitd uk calls. Total price is 59.50 plus 15.99 pounds monthly line rental.
I am currently paying 70.09 for V++ TVXL and no wifi for 20 mb per sec braodband. All looks to be a good offer....... The printed fine print is too small to decipher even with a powerful magnifying glass. |What is the catch..... is there an expensive installation charge? |

Re: Kahuna
Basic Big Kahuna is £45 plus line rental of £15.99, total of £60.99 (plus non-weekend calls).
That's what I am paying - you may pay a bit more for the extra V HD box. It's a new 12 month contract. https://my.virginmedia.com/bundles.html |
Re: Kahuna
The extra would be £6.50 for the second box and £8 for the unlimited phone package.

My response is correct as an explanation of the OP's price as he quoted in his first post. I've seen no earlier post from you in this thread that you could possibly construe my response as wrong. Have you replied to the wrong thread? |
Re: Kahuna
you can get the superhub delivered for £5.99 if you push them

Re: Kahuna
I received a letter through the post the other morning saying that they've recently had a good look at my account, So I rung up to ask about the Big Kahuna package.
What they've done is increased my BB from 60Mb to 152Mb. I was going to wait for the free upgrade to 100Mb in the next few months anyway, but I had to pay £20 for the Super Hub 2. I was also paying £53.74 a month and now get all this for £52.49 lol! (So I've got faster BB for £1.25 less a month) Big Kahuna Bundle Talk Weekends TV Size: XL Additional V Box V HD Monthly Fee TiVo Monthly Fee Broadband Size: XXL (Up to 152Mb) Bundle charges total £51.50 Promotional offer(s) £10 off for 12 months Loyalty Discount - £5 per month for 24 months Promotional offer(s) total £15.00CR Phone line rental Telephone Line Rental Phone line rental total £15.99 New monthly package total* £52.49 Chargeable from 30 May 2014 Other fees, charges & credits One-off charges & credits Virgin Media SuperHub £0.00 Installation Charge £20.00 One-off charges & credits total £20.00 Other fees, charges & credits total* £20.00 *Prices correct as at today's date. |
Re: Kahuna
I phoned them about this today and it appeared that I would go from 60mb BB to 152mb and pay £10 a month less and everything else would stay the same. They then said I needed to upgrade from SHUB 1 to SHUB 2 and pay £20 for delivery which i refused to pay as I don't think it need a SHUB upgrade. They insisted I did and put me through to retentions. There was no call handover so had to start again!!! This time a £2 a month saving and no SHUB upgrade needed. Again I declined as £2 a month is not worth tying myself in for 12 months.
Why such a difference between 2 people. Useless!! |
Re: Kahuna
i rang virgin last week to have another vhd box put in,he told me he could do me a deal.he said instead of extra £6.25 a month he will do it for £5.00 plus bump our broadband up to 150 meg at no extra cost result

Personally i think the new deals are excellent value when discounts are applied for existing customers. This time last year I was paying around £45 a month for 120mb, phone and M TV. This year i can get 100mb, phone, M+ TV and a TIVO for £35.99 after discounts. |
