Just checked and my speed is to be increased from 60 to 100 between July and Dec 2014 at no extra cost.

Sounds good but no doubt there will be a price increase before then.

Not too bothered about singing a new contract, virgin media is the only fibre broadband available to me anyway.

Between May and October for me, So almost a year away as I bet it'll be nearer October than May.

I've just signed in to My Virgin Media and they're offering to increase my 30Mb/s service to 50Mb/s next year, "from July" I think it said. Does anyone know if it is likely that upload speeds for 30Mb/s and 60Mb/s services will have been restored to a 10:1 ratio (i.e. my upload increased from 2Mb/s to 3Mb/s) before they start on this new round of increasing download speed?

Cannot seem to be able to use the pre-register button to find out target upgrade timescales for some reason but since on 60MB now that means an upgrade to 100MB. Well I'm impressed with that and nicely timed with Infinity now in the local area as well. Upload is not a big issue for me but expect 10:1 ratio to apply so 10MB upload as well. Good stuff!

Assuming it'll be 10:1 ratio i have to wonder whether they will take forever to bump the upload to 15mb like they did with the last upgrade. STM policies also make the upload bump negligible if they stay the same as everyone will be reduced to 5mb after a couple of GB instead of 4mb :p
