Daniel Pelka Murder Case: Parents 'Deliberately Starved Son'

Quote:

An emaciated boy was the subject of a campaign of "incomprehensible" cruelty by his mother and stepfather before he died, a court has heard. Four-year-old Daniel Pelka's condition was likened by a doctor to that of a concentration camp victim.

Death penalty for them, it makes me so angry and cross that you see stories like this where the people so obviously should never have been allowed to breed in the first place and then see couples who cannot have children but would be such good parents. The world is such a cruel place.

Yes it does make you wonder why nothing was done earlier to protect this young lad. It's quite bizarre that abuse like this so often isn't recognised and dealt with promptly. I hope they throw the key away on these two but no doubt they'll be out and about in a few years.

This subject is especially close to home since Mrs Osem's half brother was routinely beaten and eventually died from brain injuries sustained in yet another assault by her mother and stepfather many years ago. Sadly they were never even arrested let alone prosecuted by the authorities in her country of origin.

He'll just be another one that slipped through the net.

and those social workers who's job it was to protect him will be inadequately trained.

but as always, there will be lessons to be learned.

Where was his real father in all of this?

From what I heard in an interview with him he is living back in Poland having split up from his ex. and been prevented from seeing his late son in the UK.

Every man and woman who cannot have children for whatever reason must be so mad about this ,a total waste of a beautiful boy (seeing the picture in the link) ,they must be thinking why couldn't the parents simply put the child up for adoption if they did not want him ,so many people could have given him the life and love he deserved

R.I.P

I hope they get what they deserve inside.

A few good kickings for baby killers.

As predicted he's been classed as "slipped through the net" and his death is another "lesson to be learned" for the social services.

all this learning they're getting and they're still useless.

How could they not see a child that was half the correct weight and covered in bruises as a problem?

It needs some sackings to get the attention. Ain't holding my breath.

It'll be another side ways shuffle for all involved as with Stafford hospital ,maybe a sacking of some minor official ,possibly a cleaner .
