The NRA blames video games for violence..
The National Rifle Association has said that guns don't kill people, video games do.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/01...ease_game_app/ Now, while I do think that Video games can have an impact of the level of violent crime in society, I can't help thinking the NRA has missed the point. People can become as violent as they want, but if they don't have ready access to assault weapons (or guns in general), it's a little more difficult for them to run amok killing innocent civillians. It's a lot easier to stand there and shoot several people than it is to run around and knife them. |
Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
if people were so easy to manipulate then why did no one in there 40s now go around dropping 20 ton weights on peoples heads or building elaborate booby traps to catch people.
Kids used to sit in front of violent cartoons where characters exploded of fell off mountains and never got hurt but kids were not stupid enough to try it out |

Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
Actually, it is people who kill people. The gun is merely the convenient instrument. take all the guns away, then gun crime will fall. But watch other crime rise.
solution? I like capital punishment. Support the victim, not the criminal. |

I agree with you a 110% there colin25..as many alert people have gathered like as the point above... firearms are tools just like a plumber's or electrician's equipment/tools the does a certain job that it's designed to do no more :dozey: Guns/firearms The gun grab in USA is the work of the far left (bought & paid for by the 6 mega banks of the world) which has been many years in the making, all of the mass shootings have been linked to one thing, prescription anti depressant type drugs that turn you into a walking zombie..have a read of the information pull-out within all your medication. Beside being a false flag attack to make the public think turning their fire arms will save lives... but it won't... just making all crime rates rise as the UK; near all firearms banned.... is the highest crime capital of Europe (latest dec 2012 figures) High gun ownership = Low crime rates Low/no gun ownership = High crime rates The USa has a 20 year low on crimes, from the latest FBI statistics (web site) across the board, as fire arm ownership has grown rapidly over the last few years & that what the US mainstream (bought & paid for by leftist lobbyist movement) will never report on it as it will kill their leftist pro-Abama agenda in the water.. cold hard facts don't lie, the anti gun lobby does every single time, as they can't never back their claims up with hard proof...just lies from the left. Support your NRA if you know what best for all of us...you see there ad about obama children; they are protected with armed guards in their school, when the same person that wants to take away the rest of US protection everywhere else.....like wanting his cake & eat it.... idiot thoughts of silly man on a power rush. It's a push to take away the last line of defence from people on the streets in the USA, that's all stopping the powers that be from going further, from where they want to be in the future Eg: NWO/one world government....total power over everybody, you becoming a slave to the system just like us in the de-armed countries, you get no rights but what they want you to have. That what it's come down to in the 21st century folks.....power from the masses to a small number of persons at the top. ;) That's what we have in UK after PTB's de-arming us all in Britain they have all the power we have nothing not even a parliament since the > 1911 parliament act. Parliament like the Bank of England works for private interests not for the public as they claim it does. The building of the bank of England is publicly owned, the organisation that runs it is private funded + run for private interests don't fooled by what comes out a MP's mouth. Prisons The USA has the highest prison inmate numbers in all the world...has that cured the problem? ......no just amplified the problem. Under all corruption within government systems in place at the moment around the world the criminal's will always win hands down; the victim will always lose on every count as the criminal does the powers that be (PTB's) bidding on every level, just look in everyday government offices/courts/public servant, they are all bent as "Irish white fiver"- just to collect the money from our pockets & enslave us all into good slaves. Government While most of us are reeling back their so called power & correcting them on their true "job title + power" simply by appealing our parking fines, questioning speeding fines/council tax/general taxes/DVLA tax (car tax) etc. I question everything before I pay anything so, making them do there job they are paid to be doing not handing out empty powerless threats on bits of paper like candy in sweet shop hoping your scared into paying there worthless "notice to pay/payment notice" the court's are no better. Have fun people & peace out Toonlight |
Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
The tools of a plumber or electrician are not designed for the sole purpose of killing, though...

People kill people not firearms, a little hint a firearm has trigger, that has to be pulled for it to fire... maybe a human finger? perhaps... :) Thanks for the feed back matt also...you've been a blast to reply to :bsmack:Peace out Toonlight |
Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
The problem with just saying, take away guns, and deaths will reduce, doesn't say anything about the crimes stopped because the victim had a gun.
About to be assaulted, but you had a gun for protection, etc etc They take away the guns, criminals will still use them, and will not be dettered. The only way you might get it to work, would be to have a greater police state and have a bigger detterent. even then, some people will do what they want. My view is not based on studies of areas where guns were reduced, or non-existant. Unlikely they could duplicate USA anyway. My view is based on 50 years of seeing and knowing people. There are opportunists, down right evil people, and even some very sick people (beyond evil) out there. People need a detterent, or they just take advantage. So i don't blame americans not wanting to give up that right, as the rights of criminals seem to always out weigh the rights of victims. |
Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
The NRA and Gun owners in America will blame anyone and anything to protect they ownership of guns, mark my words this will get very ugly and even more people will die before it gets any chance of it ever getting any better.
