Re: Find CMTS or UBR ip
You can find your CMTS from a reverse trace route.

Re: Find CMTS or UBR ip
at the forum saying
1 31 ms 1 ms 1 ms CISCOE4200 [192.168.10.1] 2 26 ms 39 ms 16 ms cpc5-mort6-2-0-gw.croy.cable.virginmedia.com 3 40 ms 26 ms 10 ms mort-geam-1a-ge215.network.virginmedia.net 4 221 ms 217 ms 205 ms croy-core-1b-tenge73.network.virginmedia.net 5 11 ms 35 ms 16 ms croy-sm-1-ge146.network.virginmedia.net 6 13 ms 42 ms 14 ms cache1.service.virginmedia.net More down saying all the uBR/CMTS connect to a GEAM then saying old ubr will not show at trace route so mine appear like that <1 ms 192.168.1.1 7 ms BABIS-PC [0.0.0.0] 18 ms camd-geam-..... 33 ms hari-core-...... 8 ms hari-core-..... 8 ms popl-bb-..... sorry been so thick but here my confusion: is the camd-geam or the harri core? I guess is the camd?? but why say my pc with 0.0.0.0 My set up is SH(modem mode)>draytek 2920n Thanks ---------- Post added at 23:20 ---------- Previous post was at 22:49 ---------- ok i monitored first the camd-gem and monitor was full of yellow latency little blue jitter and low green then with this tool http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html .... i find the camd-cmts i am monitor now this cmts and is just very little green(seems like ping is around 2 ms) which the correct one?guessing the camd-cmts? Thanks for me being thick ---------- Post added at 23:31 ---------- Previous post was at 23:20 ---------- ??????? http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...11-07-2012.png |

Re: Find CMTS or UBR ip
its a reverse trace route tool
look down at the end of the trace 9-10 or 11 example with mine: 1... 2... 3..... 4.... 5..... 6...... 7..... 8 hari-core-1b-..... 9 camd-geam-...... 10 camd-cmts-14- <-------- 11 cpc5-camd.... should be one saying the first 3-4 letters of your area then cmts i think that is the one and to me it change each time the address but i put one of these adddresses in the monitor and seems it is the one (my monitor up) |
