To get 100Mb you need this modem.

No they insist on a manned install due to it being the flagship product as they want it working first time.

Shame some of these manned installs result in using the wrong power supply for the hub and/or leaving power levels out of whack and running off before testing can be done.

I know and it is quite wrong and we see the aftermath when they ring in, except for 100Mb.

You may have a VMNG300 but sooner rather than later you will need it replacing as the rollout to 8 downstreams progresses.

You upgraded over the phone but an upgrade without either the Superhub or the VMNG300 requires a technician and sometimes you may need a technician even if you have the correct modem.

I've got a VMNG300, and the DLINk router linked into a gigabit switch, i'd rather stick with what i know works, seems alot of people have had to switch the superhub to modem only mode to get decent speeds. If i upgrade over the phone wil i be able (for now) to keep my existing setup?

ya, you definitely don't want the shub dude. If you are happy with your current kit then stick with it. My old linksys router only had 100mbit ports on it so I coughed up £100 for a new one but it was well worth it.

I wonder what will happen when the 50Mb > 100Mb upgrades happen. Presumably 100Mb won't be an engineer install then and they'll just send out the SH?
