Mixed messages on outages
Anyone else in Portsmouth area having issues with BB since Friday 11th? The message on the fault line changes every day so I’m never quite sure if there is general outage or not? Yesterday it was PO7 which is my area.
When I check this link: https://my.virginmedia.com/faults/service-status It says there is no issue but there most certainly is. The link below says there are issues but is not that specific. https://national.virginmedia.com/ser...cements/status When I called the helpline Sunday they told me there wasn’t an issue in my area and that they would dispatch any engineer to me Weds the 16th. It’s all a bit confusing. Do I cancel the engineer as there is a general outage or let him come out which may prove to be a waste of time for us both? |
Re: Mixed messages on outages
I've fixed your broken second link.

Re: Mixed messages on outages
If it isn't working let him come - the problem could just be your connection while the general issue might be something else entirely which doesn't cause a complete outage - routing problems, flaky DNS, etc.
The second link is ADSL. Are you cable or ADSL? |

In that case the link is irrelevant. Is it the one you found or did the moderator's correction point it somewhere different?

In the early stages of outages, Virginmedia's right hand has never known what the left is doing

Frankly I think he might have been better off checking the VM status phone number which I don't have to hand at this moment.;) |
