Well it had to happen sometime .Reading the BBC article it seems a bit tit for tat ,i don't know if that is the beebs bias comming out or if that is just how it is but it will be interesting to see how other news sources tell the story

I've never liked them 'black association' things. it does nothing except make it look like it's a struggle and an achievement to be black.

and nobody realises how pathetic it looks.

to put it blunt. we were all equal when the wind was blowing East. but a black person decides that he doesn't like being normal, and wants to set up a black achievment kind of club. he or they want to make a point that he or they are different to the usual white.

we being white might want to join in and applaud the massive achievment.
either today or in the following 50 years.

I agree they have a very good point and i sincerely hope it works out because things have gone too far in favouring ethnics imo

The PC Brigade has caused most of this themselves. I remember when the world cup was on of football a few years ago and Asian taxi drivers in Leeds wanted to put the English flag on there cabs to show there support for the nation. They were told to take them off by the council in case they upset the Asian community!

Funny how it's always white people who say that sort of thing, without fail.

The Met cannot do right for doing wrong. There will never be a perception of true equality as each side will cry racism at different times.

So why do they need a Black Association ,if they have concerns about how the are being treated why not go to the Police Association ,why are they allowed to form a Black association seperate from the others if not to segregate themselves ,in my view the very name is illegal

Blacks in the Met are a minority. The Met is known in the past for being, "institutionally racist".

Bet you didn't know what whites are permitted to join the Black Police Officers' Association.

Totally agree.

Childrens tele. they have many black presenters doing the shows. kids don't think nothing of it. he or she is just a man or woman to them.

then they see a 'black association' or such.

I would think so too. it would come across as racist otherwise.

It's not the kids who have the problem usually. From what i can tell it's the adults.

Because in some areas of society, blacks are a minority and such associations are their 'voice' in a traditionally racist organisation.

Why would they be needed?

It is, but clearly not in the way you see it.

Quite possibly. But you and I, both being white, have no idea what sort of issues black people face in these situations.
