BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift
Hi All
Has anyone one else been having problems with iPlayer since having the upload lift? I watch a fair amount on my iPad and since having the upload lift it will play/buffer 5mins of the video then pauses and takes another 3mins to buffer another 5mins. I know this could be at the BBC end but has only happened since upload lift so don't know if VM are targeting iplayer traffic the same as p2p |
Re: BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift
I just tried it.
It seems fine here on 30meg. I am on the enhanced upload BTW. |
Re: BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift
your upstream could be congested as a result of the uplift, do 10+ pings to bbc.co.uk and if they vary a lot its a sign of congestion.

Re: BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift
that looks pretty high!
post a speedtest and pingtest, your modem stats as well. Probably upstream congestion with the uplift. Mine: Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] |
Re: BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift

Re: BBC iPlayer very slow since upload lift
VM or indeed any ISP will only consider you having a connection problem if you test via a wired connection as there are so many varialbles out of their control with wireless.
