do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?

Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
When I was back on 3mb tiscali, everything was wireless, and with such slow speeds over wireless N, everything was able to receive the full 3mb. I put the ps3 hardwired for better connectivity, then when i moved to virgin, i bought a switch and now have my computer, xbox, ps3 all wired so I can receive my 50mbps
---------- Post added at 11:40 ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 ---------- ...forgot to add, the wii is wireless, as are 2 laptops and 3 phones. The laptops for portability, the wii hardly gets used online so an ethernet cable around the lounge would be useless. The phones obviously arent wired by ethernet, however they only get used wireless because one doesnt have a data plan, the other is connected to wifi around once a month, to update software and mine I only connect wifi if im running low on 3g mb's |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
I have my office PC, second wifi router, bluray player wired.
Smartphones x 3, iPad2, 2 x PCs in offsprings' rooms, Apple TV, iPod Touch, 5 x laptops, Wii and Xbox are wireless. (didn't choose anything above to vote for, as not an appropriate option available) |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?

The whole house is wired... PC's and Xboxes... one flick of a mains switch in my bedroom and it's "Goodnight kids!"

Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
Wii, 1 Blu Ray, 4 laptops, 2 cell phones all wireless.
X-Box, NAS, 1 Blu Ray wired because they are near the router. Only ethernet cables live behind the TV stand. |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
Wired on everything except mobiles and laptop. Got network points in most rooms, all pcs and htpcs are wired with gige throughout the house.
I couldn't do wireless as I have 3 HTPCs that can all be streaming HD content from my mediaserver, there'd be too much congestion. |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
My desktop PCs are all wired, for the speed and reliability. My main PC is used for gaming (Bad Company 2) and needs the speed of the wired. Wouldn't use wireless for a desktop PC.
I use the wireless for my phone and PDA. |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
wired all to all bedrooms and my HD pc media centre setup behind 37inch main tv, wireless encypt and interfrence just dont suit latency work and saves any moaning from kids when those random times that wireless cards just dont know what a AP is
portable hardware not used for latency work of cause uses wireless |
Re: do you use wired or wireless to connect to router?
