Was the Cricket highlights on Channel 5 broadcast in true 720p/1080i HD?

Out of curioisty, I recently emailed Channel 5 & they replied back stating that the Cricket highlights will not be broadcast in High-definition, even though the England vs. Pakistan series last year seemed to be shown in geiuine HD!, my question is, was the highlights shown yesterday broadcast in true HD or only upscaled HD?

Confused as to why you have included a poll which has nothing directly to do with the title which is a question asking what res it was broadcast in.
In regards to the Poll i will answer that as BBC which is a complete no brainer, if you had the choice of BBC with no adverts why would anyone in their right mind choose anything else?

It's a good job they don't now , not many would be able to view it in HD thanks to VM exclusivity something many condemn Sky for ;)

Which is not necessarily in both cases in the interests of the consumer!;)

As for the cricket ad free in the poll the BBC its a no brainer as has been said.:)

When Virgins exclusive deal on Film4HD runs out, bet it ends up on $ky and we loose it because "it's too expensive"

I think that all broadcasters may be looking at SKY in a new light after this (I know that it is not this country, but the main company wants the same here:confused:)

Vey worrying indeed sky says that the channel was demanding double its present carriage fees, current tv says it had not made an offer, its a very stark warning of what the future may well hold for the uk with a very powerful right wing media mogul in sole charge of sky.

We as customers of virgin media have already seen what sky is capable of with the sky basics dispute where sky withdrew all its non sport channels from virgin media customers,it was asking top dollar for its channels whist claming the VM channels were worthless in a carriage dispute.
