Land line dead in M22 area

Anyone else? Service status says good - no it's not!

Service status only picks up area problems. If the issue is with your line, or your street, it won't say anything.

You're going to have to call them to report the fault.

Yep, if your whole cab or a good portion are off, then there will be a status post.

If it's not an individual issue, then possibly a mux card with 20-30 customers on.

What do you get (from the callers side) when you line is called?

What does the caller hear though?

1) engaged tone

2) ring tone

3) a long dead tone

:)

It rings and ring and rings for them. Still no call back.

If you can call tomorrow morning as soon after 0800 as possible on 0845 454 1111 and the agent will call you back once they know you are on a mobile and they will be able to check the line and advise if it is an area issue or that an engineer is required.

more likely a fault just on your line then. I've just checked your area and so far there are no reported outages.

Some faults require 3 customers to call in on the same mux before they are picked up as an outage. Especially with your fault, which we would class as RTNR (ring tone, no reply).

Support should have called you back straight away too! I'd call back again.

Sounds like you need an engineers visit to sort out your issue, you could try again today or call tomorrow from 0800 when we are back on the phones.

Engineer is booked for Tuesday. Will I be refunded line rental for days without service?

You should have asked but if your line rental is £12 per month and they divide that by 30 and multiply by the days without service it will not be a lot.
