Would love to see the NFL programming on ESPN rather than Sky as they have more liberal rules with product placement

NFL football is coming home! Almost three decades after first appearing on Channel 4, the NFL is returning to its original station in a new deal to broadcast Sunday Night Football.

Channel 4 will air the league's premier match-up at 1 a.m. every Sunday night, with the game kicking off at 1.20. The new season will begin with the Dallas Cowboys' trip to arch-rival Washington Redskins on September 12.

Weird that you should ask the post to be edited, especially as I'm watching the Steelers v Broncos pre-season game as I type :D

Really looking forward to the new season. Just a shame that sky have so many of the games but at least channel 4 is back with one game a week (im to young to remember it first time around). Wonder if it will be HD or not.

Now all i need is for Virgin to put a bigger hard drive in my V+ box and im sorted

Good news about channel 4, god rid of sports a few months back as it was hard to justify just for NFL.

Was satisfied with just getting Collage football on ESPN, last season was great.

Great memories, I just hope channel 4 can live up to our great expectations. 1985 was a great year for me the Bears won the Super Bowl and Walter Payton was unstoppable.

I first watch American Football In the 70's when ITV World of Sport showed the super bowl in the era of the Steelers three Super Bowl wins and the steel curtain.
