Please remember this is a family forum and watch your language. Just because a certain word isn't filtered, doesn't mean you can use it in an offensive context.

He's (JS) get his logic completely backwards anyway. It would be the ones who enjoy being "in the warm" that wouldn't be complaining and the ones who want to get out there that are doing the complaining.

Ah Jack Straw, what a guy. And by that you can switch the word 'guy' for your favourite highly offensive swear word. Yeah dead lazy, thats why the prisons are deserted and prisoners get kept in for far longer than their original sentence. Only takes an hour to fill in the case file, well some cops are better at paperwork than others. Just as some MP's are less corrupt, sorry better at accounting, than others and don't try to claim more back in expenses than they paid out. (At this point I should point out that the Scottish system is different and I have limited information on the paperwork needed for England and Wales. I should point out that the system used in Scotland has gone from taking 20 minutes to almost 2 hours in the last four years) In the warm. Yep on a collapsing bridge during floods is a really warm place to be. At the end of the day his government have brought in a ridiculous amount of paperwork and pointless targets which he is now moaning about. The government brought in the National Crime Recording Standards and made detections king and then began moaning when the Police go after easy detections. I could go on but some of the Police bloggers have summed it up far better than I ever could. http://inspectorgadget.wordpress.com...e-secretaries/ http://pcbloggs.blogspot.com/ http://stressedoutcop.blogspot.com/2...h-of-same.html |
Re: Jack Straw "sceptical" about overworked police
But Derek, figures are something the Government can point to and say they are solving crime. The fact the coppers are spending more and more time filling out forms detailing every last detail of what they do, and probably less and less actually helping cut crime, and the fact the the figures the government presents may or may not represent* actual crime statistics is irrelevant..
* I spent years in Exports. I know that the published export figures bore little resemblance to what was happening in the market. I suspect it's the same for most (if not all) government figures. |

Jack Straw criticising anyone for being insufficiently productive is a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black!

A nice piece in the sun today regarding this. Seeing some of you burst into flames if you pick up a copy of that particular newspaper here is a link to it.
