virgin are in the process of changing the encryption codes which means all the boxes you see on ebay ,car boot sales ect will not work ,possibly some freeview channels but defo no VM channels

so if you are fishing for info on these boxes don't bother buying one ;)

If you buy a second hand box of Ebay then you will be receiving stolen goods, because at all times the box remains the property of Virginmedia, also the box will not work as it cannot be added to your account, and its only use would be as an expensive doorstop.

Call Virgin and get a box from them that you know will work.

It will probably be cracked eventually, but hasn't as yet.

Re: how come

ok someone i know who i hate. has got a VirginMedia box and that do get all the tv for free. all thay do is pay someone £10 ever year to replace the card. so the box has allready been chip. and i know thay have got all the tv for free as i have seen it. i hate the ones i am talking about. as thay are makeing my life hell. it's my wife family and i am just sick where thay call me names out side and this is the only thing i have over them. i am disabled and her family is makeing me so ill. and i just would like to get one over them some how. all i did was phone them up and told them to pack it in and all thay did was call the police on me. that is why i was saying about the box i know thay have. i am getting so low where thay are makeing my life hell. i just wish thay get what hurt for what thay are doing to me.

Report them then... I'm sure Virgin has a number to call so that you can report that stuff...
