The story is here, i can't use that link it crashes IE and doesn't work in my firefox due to missing plugin.

God i hope they workout away to get him down safely!!

so it belonged to the parents but no reason as to why it was inflated or how the kid got access to it.

We what you do (a bit james bond) get a helicopter with a guy who can jump on to top of the balloon (parachute on their back) and absail down the side and descend the balloon, if thing go wrong before he get to the kid he can chute to safety, and try again.
