A 109-year-old woman wrote to the Queen to complain about the birthday cards she received and Prince William turned up by surprise to apologise.

Nicely handled by the Palace, perhaps they have learned some lessons.

Heh ... well, good on her, but I imagine Buckingham Palace doesn't expect too many people ever to get more than one or two of these cards. I don't suppose they send many out either, so a single print run and therefore a single design is probably going to last a while.

You gotta love William though. All these sorts of stories about him do add up - he seems like a genuinely nice bloke.

Oxfordshire's oldest resident has received a new-style birthday card from the Queen - after complaining that she always got the same one.

Liz could have chosen a better picture than the squinty-eyed scowling looking one. I would have prefered getting the old one again.

She was prolly thinking about the mess Gordo has made of her realm at the moment the picture was taken. ;)

What? Just because he went to see an old lady. I do that twice a week.
