Green campaigners storm coal train

Apparently they want this dirty fuel to be left in the ground. Well with the price of oil only heading one way I can't see that happening anytime soon. A tad childish to chuck the dirty stuff around I'd have thought too. |

Idle hands and all that....
They shold be forced to go to work instead of disrupting legitimate business. |
Re: Green campaigners storm coal train
Perhaps next time they could rush the train head on while it was going at full speed that would sort one of the problems.

What you might have missed was she almost crippled the South Wales economy by closing countless coal mines and putting thousands on the dole.
The coal certainly all but stopped getting through then. |

Err! Stopping and robbing a train is this not an offence? Some get 40 years for that, but they stole some money as well.:dozey:

Re: Green campaigners storm coal train
Hmm. On the one hand it's highly irresponsible, on the other it's only highly irresponsible protests that get attention these days.
If you're going to burn coal (and we are, or the lights go off) Drax is about the best place, it gets more energy out of the CO2 released than any other plant. The coal, of course, comes by ship and train from Russia or South America these days, rather than the Yorkshire pits Drax was built for... |
