Re: The Build
i have a 1950pro 256meg version and see no reason to update it for awhile yet, bioshock plays fine on my widescreen monitor at 1440x900, i was tempted to get a cheaper dx10 card but decided to wait due to dx10.1
all you need to do now is overclock :D |

Re: The Build
Thanks. But the problems have just started lol, Anything like games, software i try to in stall,i get this message saying.
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damged disk, a failed download or a virus You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line swith (NOT RECOMMENDED) Could this have anything to do with RAM or CPU. i,M USING WINDOWS VISTA ULTAMTAE.another thing how do i do a reboot, use to change to from hardive to cdrom in bios but this does not work :-( Thanks again for all replys :-) |
Re: The Build
I sometimes have problems with windows installer.
It keeps giving errors along the lines of 'the file you are trying to access cannot be found in the given location', - by trial & error I discovered if I cancelled & tried again, after a few tries it would work... Your error suggests that a CRC check is failing, though, which could be faulty file/bad disk, as they say - I've no idea about the boot options, sorry, I can't think why selecting 'boot from CD' in the bios wouldn't work, no matter what the OS???? |
Re: The Build
right click my computer click manage and event viewer look for hardware faults, As for the boot from im not sure where you are coming from
To reboot click start then where you see the sleep 2 buttons across os an arrow bottom row of start menus hit the arrow and restart is there. Rught click desktop select properties then screen save change power settings and hit change plan settings under the settings that are being used.Change put to sleep to never its crap.Thn click change advanced settings. Scroll to hard drive and change power down to never. Then scroll to power buttons and lid and select start menu power button and set to shut down. These are justa couple of free tips lol |
Re: The Build

Re: The Build
lol.Back agin i have now replaced my harddrive with another haddrive and i still get the same error. Cant load in any game, i have done a search on the net and i read that it could be my memory doing this could this be true.I'm hopping to have as many hardrive in my system as i can afford :-).Could some one help me setup my memory settings?

Re: The Build
only thing I can think of is to run a memtest on the system (http://www.memtest.org/) download this and let it run overnight, if there are faults in the RAM this will find it.

Re: The Build
dunno if this is relevant, but a reinstall of the chipset ide drivers for my mobo just made a big difference for me :)
