I read on another forum that is was being rolled out all over the uk so it may not be with everyone yet.
I can't see a statement or anything on the virgin media site either but it is free now for XL viewers.

would be nice if the OD worked, in Nottingham and for the second night running spent over 45 mins trying to get any menus to see whats available.

Theres only one place this v+ box is going and thats in the bin. OD should read DOA.

It's supposed to be free but I haven't been able to select anything as it's so slow at the moment...

The update hasn't been rolled out to Ex-Telewest areas as yet hence why it still shows 20p a video but ex-NTL areas have been updated and the vids are now showing as free.

The only thing you can do fellow ex-Telewest people is to sit tight and the update will happen.

Re: Music ON Demand FREE

I read this thread and went into Music on Demand. All I got was a message inviting me to upgrade to XL package for unlimited free access. Problem is I already have XL package. I checked all XL channels and other demand services and found everything else working, only Music not.

Phoned Virgin help line, but gave up after 10 minutes with no answer. Will try again later today if there's still a problem. (Did reboot twice and reinsert the smart card, but no luck.)

---------- Post added at 17:28 ---------- Previous post was at 16:56 ----------

Back again. Just thought that I may have more luck getting through to helpline earlier in the evening. Did get through and have spent 20 minutes with very helpful agent, but got nowhere. Box was rebooted, various things were tried. He tried correcting from his end and something called 2nd line team were called in as he though this might be a local problem.

Still same - message says to get unlimited free access, upgrade to XL package. When I go further than this and make a selection, I'm told that I will be charged - I cancel at this point.

Have now been told they will look into this and phone me back, hopefully within 5 days with the answer.
