Modem Levels
Hi,
I'm running my modem off a splitter initially installed in my old place by telewest. It has the modem / tv box connected and I was wondering if the levels given are what is causing me to get somewhat poor performance, can anyone offer their advice? It's an SB5101e based in Lanarkshire. Thanks downstream Frequency 331000000 Hz Signal To Noise Ratio 41.4 dB Power Level 4.2 dBmV upstream Channel ID 4 Frequency 29200000 Hz Power 58.0 dBmV |

Micah56, the only thing of even slight concern is the upstream and downstream power levels, the downstream is borderline as the max tolerated is usually -10. The upstream again is as if the modem is shouting to be heard. However your signal to noise ratio is good :) Possible call to faults about it, but i wouldn't bother unless it's causing problems tbh. |

Downstream Value
Frequency 331000000 Hz Locked Signal to Noise Ratio 37 dB Power Level 7 dBmV The Downstream Power Level reading is a snapshot taken at the time this page was requested. Please Reload/Refresh this Page for a new reading Upstream Value Channel ID 1 Frequency 22192000 Hz Ranged Power Level 51 dBmV I think mines is ok apart from the 51 dBmV is getting near the 55 bad figure going by google info, anyone input more thanks :) |

Re: Modem Levels
I'd like to post mine as I am unsure of how they should be, now take into considerationg, we have a HDU box fitted from the main feed, this is then split 3 ways, 1 to SACM, 1 to V+, and the other a lead through the brickwork to outside, then down to the living room, through the wall into a Samsung STB...

Re: Modem Levels
Thank You Ned!
