Who's the Man at Virgin/ntl?

Hello.

If I want to send some suggestions to the top guy at Virgin/ntl's customer support department, who should I address them to?

An email address, or a postal address, would help, plus the name and title.

And no, they're not the usual physically impossible suggestions, I really do want to try to offer ideas on ways in which they could improve the system.

Or do you think I shouldn't bother, maybe.

Allen.

You might get somewhere if you DON'T call them Virgin/ntl or they may seek a Cease and Desist order against you.;)

They are now called Virgin Media.

Whatever you do, for God's sake don't mention the n-word* to Virgin Media. I called up to report a fault, which resolved itself. A lady called back following up on the fault (which was nice), asked for the account holder on my personal phone (so I know who it was). I said, "oh, are you from ntl?", to which I was chastised for (as if it makes a blinding bit of difference either way).

I called ntl:telewest business the other day to enquire about an ISDN line.

Not only did the bloke at the other end of the phone not know whether they did them, but asked me if it was an ntl or Telewest area.

So word's not quite filtered down all the way yet!

ntl:telewest Business are still kwown as that, not as Virgin Media, although they are part of Virgin Media.

Rule one- the customer is always right.

This means you cannot chastise them.

My interpretation of that rule was always:

The customer is always right. Unless I can prove otherwise :)

Yes thankfully I now have a much better job. :)

I hate that phrase with a passion as all the management tweeps who sprout it tend to be the ones who get promoted way above their ability beyond the actual workers.

Most customers are always right. Some customers are very, very, very wrong. And some out and out lie to you. They are the ones who the rule doesn't apply to.

The customer is always a right pain in the backside.
