Defrag Question
After using Diskeeper to defrag my system, after it completed, there are still "Low Performing system files" as shown in pink on the screen shot below, why is this? Should it not make everything blue?

Re: Defrag Question
These are normal the longer the system runs the more defragmented these become making defraging hard as time goes by.There locked files so diskeeper cant defrag it you could try a boot time defrag to see if that makes any difference

Re: Defrag Question
Doing a defrag on a server is even more annoying, especially when it insists that you have to set a defrag up at boot time and insists on a restart. You then get a vicious circle of wondering why it's taking ages to reboot, as you can't see any signs of life, so crash out, go into safe more, tell it to defrag or whatever and round and round you go. Meanwhile everyone complains that the network keeps falling over :(

Re: Defrag Question
Not used this tool but I find O&O Defrag to be very good for my Windows box... my Linux box doesn't ever need defragging

Re: Defrag Question
Solve the problem by defragging daily :) I did. It now takes around 10 minutes each maximum to defrag my pc, server and laptop. Bit extreame? Nope. Keeps it running at top speed all the time. I set it as a scheduled task on my server at it runs at 1am, followed by backups at 2-4am (tho the backups dont actually take 2 hours, they're just spread out).
