Download and Run CPU-Z. It will tell you LOADS about the current processor :)

It should say: Cores 2, threads 2 in the bottom corner, like mine does: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=131549

Doesn't it mistake Hyper threading for dual CPUs though?

By any chance is your CPU watercooled?

Nope, Air Cooled :)

Low temps to boot :)

Arctic Cooling Freezer PRO 7, Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste.
Probably has some more left in her yet ;)

Detetcts two CPU's at 3000mhz (well, 3037) but obviously i only have one CPU, and 2 Cores.

That is right it should say 2 cpus : 2 real cores are two cpus

Code:

Processor(s):              2 Processor(s) Installed.
                          [01]: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~
3037 Mhz
                          [02]: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~
3037 Mhz

Shouldn't it be 2 logical CPU's? 1 Physical CPU though really?

Nope Hyperthreading is logical as it's just 1 CPU.... You have 2 real CPUs lap it up mate and enjoy.

Makes sense now thinking about it...
As soon as i find decent Multi-threaded Video encoders i will be well away :) Right now 250+ frames a second encoding will have to do... *sighs*
