Harry Potter

Who's a fan then and who cant wait to get their hands on the new book?

Personally my copy was ordered ages ago - but no doubt as its from Amazon it wont arrive until 2 weeks after release.

Incidentally, whats the difference between the Adult and Child versions of the book?

I have liked the books.

I've ordered mine from amazon - the last one turned up a day early here.

The difference is a different cover.

Apparently some people are embarrased to be seen to be reading a childrens book.

LOL,
So the idea is that even though its got Harry Potter plastered over the front the fact that it has a different picture makes them feel better - some peeps are too self concious.

Actually - if that is the case its a bit daft...

Childrens version...

Adult version

Is it just me or are the words Harry Potter even bigger on the Adult version :D.

I've already got the childrens versions and I don't plan to change :)

Anyway this would make my set not match up.

I think it's more the picture that some people have the problem with.

I'm a fan but got into it late so all the books I've got so far are paperbacks (being a pikey cheapskate!) So I'll wait until the paperback version is available, than you very much! ;)

When order of the phoenix came out I went to ASDA at midnight and the staff brought out huge crates of the books dressed as witches, and they had their own 'aisle 9 and three quarters' :D

ASDA has always been slightly odd

At least the characters no longer speak in statements!

I am a big fan and can't wait. I have just read books 4 and 5 again, made sure I remember everything that happened.

Me either. It's not that the books are bad, just that they are unoriginal and don't deserve the praise that is heaped upon them. Sadly they and all the related products are just the latest 'must-have' for the Pokemon generation.

I like the films, can't be bothered with the books - but it's on order anyway for the missus. :)
