The funniest bit was saying they won't be able to reply to any emails sent through the site, for the duration... they NEVER reply to emails, EVER.

Gee thats strange. I could have sworn that replying to customer E-Mails has been taking up about 80% of my day for the last couple of months...

Oh right it has. So we do reply to E-Mails. ALL THE TIME

Looks like its only closed temporarily to me according to that link people have been giving... It just depends on how temporary they mean I suppose...
I think they should be given the benefit of the doubt for a few months though really

Isn't (or wasn't) myntlhome only available to celtic customers anyway?

hmmm.....

Re: myntlhome.com to close

It was only for Glasgow, Belfast and South Wales.

In the future who knows...

You must work in ntl accounts/ billing then,? they are the only ones who ever reply to me. I have emailed complaints and tech support dozens of times but never get more than an automated reply.

I think dezzo works in tech support - from whom I've always had replies. Complaints? I don't think they even read them.

Didn't ever get myntlhome.com here!

No I work in Customer Care and deal with a little bit of everything. Some complaints, some basic tech support, billing and general information.

The emails get read and replied to. We do not just bin them. Although it is very tempting sometimes ;)

If it's something beyond our remit such as a very in depth technical issue we pass it to the relevant department who reply (and copy us in)

The only times (to my knowledge) that no reply is given is when someone fills in the form with remarkably poor information.

Missing email addresses are common but you get emails with no return address, no postcode and no phone number. Try finding the correct J Smith to reply to out of several million customers.

We aren't miracle workers but we try. A reasonable email with full information will always be dealt with quicker than:

"MY SERVICES AREN'T WORKING. NTL R CRAP!!!. NOTHING EVER WORKS!!!!!!"

Rant over :)
