No wayyyyyyy, i love that film (says a lot about me :D )

You missed the bit at the end were he w@nks off an elephant (now that is a big dong), I'd did laff me.
And the bit where his father goes, 'do me, do me' inviting his son to do him from behind, sarcasticaly.
Or the bit where he builds a skate ramp in the yard and his friend rips open his leg on a nail. Oh how I laughed.

In recent times it has to be "Hollywood Homicide" starring Harrison Ford.

No doubt we could probably come up with a top 10 or top 100 worst rated films. It could be considered a public service i.e. stopping people from hiring videos of or watching 'naff-rated' films in the vain hope they are in for a good night's entertainment.

'Contact' - given all that had gone on in the previous 2 hours, the ending was the most totally implausible tripe I have ever seen. It was utterly convoluted and a very lame attempt to illustrate the film's 'faith vs reason' theme. I left the cinema feeling robbed.

And talking about leaving the cinema feeling robbed - I'd like to add:
Fortress ('should I intestinate?' eeeugh!)
All Highlander films bar the original (Hmm, Christopher Lambert theme developing here).
8mm (Tawdry and almost p0rnographic in parts, I left halfway through feeling dirty).

Yes have to agree there, the ending was a complete let down. The only good bit was when the machine explodes, not worth spending the hour or so before it.
Nice Idea badly executed.

I see that none of you really appreciate what a bad film is ;)

You want to give this one a go,

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088392/

My DVD collection is replete with "bad" films, but this one really is terrible, so bad that I had to split watching it over two sessions. I had this on a pre-recorded VHS tape that I had been given, it ended up being used as a blank.

I think Im the only person, ever, who liked Battlefield Earth :Yikes:

Bad movies though? hmm, Zoolander, couldnt watch more than the first hour because of how boring it is, Ive since heard it gets funnier after that so I might give it another go.
Grease 1&2, If it wasnt for teenaged girls that film would have never been popular :td:
Big Fish, truely terrible film, I think a mugging would have been less painful and more enjoyable.
Love actually I also found pretty awful.

And thats just the tip of the iceberg really, there are a lot more but I cant think of any right now (Probably mentally blocked them becuase they are so awful)

I agree with that. HFRO is a great film. I think it's still the best adaptation of a Clancy book (although Clear & Present Danger wasn't too bad, compared to Patriot Games & Sum of All Fears).

Clear and Present danger chops quite a large (and IMHO needed) chunk out of the story.
I preferred Patriot Games.

As for my worst film ever? That's Easy. The Grifters, followed closely by Seven (I found the ending was obvious half way through the film and lost interest) and Indecent Proposal.

The lord of the rings films bored me to be honest, I tried my best with the first one and I actually left the cinema after 20mins. I managed to sit right through 2 and 3, 3 could have finnished a good hour before it actually did and by the end i was shouting "get on the ****ing boat for ****s sake"

Part 2, well to be honest it was so good I dont remember anything of it except the big trees.
I fail to see what is so spectacular about these movies, I dont even like the book, so I do admit I wasnt expecting much and I went to see them because as much as I dislike them, in years to come it will be a "I went to the cinema to see that in the week it was first released" type of brag.
(much the same as people do with the first 3 star wars movies)

As for my fav movies:-

Shawshank redemption
Platoon
The killing fields
Its a wonderful life
Anything with Laurel and hardy in it.
And for the interesting and unconvincing death scenes any Friday the 13th movie (yes I own them all on DVD).

was anyone like me when i watched the matrix for the first time........

"for the first 45 mins i was all but nodding off wandering why people said the film was great when it was sending me to sleep.........."

YES

"then it kicked in , woke me up , and had me on the edge of my seat for the rest of the film and at the end wondering if they were going to do a follow up"

NO

I carried on "wondering why people said the film was great "
