Re: Frankie goes to Canada

Thank you all for your good wishes :)

In response to your question Nor - I've been waiting for this news for a long time now and it's finally come through, so I'm not going to hang around for what will probably be many months (ntl have delayed already) and mess about with ntl. I have better things to do with my life such as going and seeing what Toronto is like to live in :D

Also, if you were kind enough to donate to my legal fund, then I would be happy to return any money to you as of course I am not going ahead with it now. If you could e-mail me your e-mail address and how much it was I will send it right back :)

I will indeed pop in as much as possible and say hi. I know that there are exciting plans for this site and so will be as involved as I can be from the other side of the pond!

Frank. Good luck in Canada. The past year has been a bit of a bitch. Hope the coming one's better.

Not that I like to see NTL get off the hook but I think its for the best to move on. Been in a similar position myself and its pretty destructive until you are able to let it go, not sure I have, even after many years.

Best of luck in Canada mate.

Welcome to Canada. You need to know the following:

- this is coffee land. Actually, it is Tim Horton's land. Every Canadian must buy a coffee each morning at Tim Horton's.

- We call our money the "loony." It refers to the loon on the head. The two dollar coin is called a ... "toony." Penny = 1c, nickel = 5c, dime = 10c, and quarter = 25c.

- Do not lick a flagpole in the winter. Every Canadian has done it as a kid, and regretted it.

- When buying beer in the winter, be sure it ain't American imports. Their two-fours (24 beers in a box) has handles, but it isn't big enough to accept a hand with a mitt on it.

Sit back and think how much hell a 23-year-old caused to a multinational company. He has been bloody brilliant. He did mistakes and I have been critical of him. But overall he has been marvelous. I am confident that he will have a super career. All the best Frankie!
