man wakes up after 20 years in a coma

i did not know where to post it so choose here

the man now aged 39 years old is still stuck in the past he was 19 years old when he had a serious car crash and went in to a coma he has a daughter he is confused at what is going on around him all the computers technologys that surround him

the new consoles such as the ps2 and xboxs we all know will be a huge shock to this man as he only knows what technologys were back in the 1980's when pacman was introduced

quite interesting yet a bit shocking too

Martin 10-07-2003 03:09

Blimey that is a shocker, fancy having to explain the last 20 yrs to someone who was out driving one day and next thing they wake up in a hospital bed 20yrs on. Scarey thought. Quite the miracle though.

peterska2 10-07-2003 03:14

want to go to sleep for 20 years myself.

Maybe things will be better then.

ANd maybe Dr Plummer will stop spoiling my fun :(

peterska2 10-07-2003 03:26

nah already got Kronas and cjll and Andre in there.

peterska2 10-07-2003 03:28

sorry

matty4donna 10-07-2003 03:45

that is quite amazing really! imagine if you woke up in 20 years time thinking ther world was still what it is like today!

Defiant 10-07-2003 05:53

WOW he wasn't waiting to get through to NTL was he :D

Sorry I couldn't resist it

Lord Nikon 10-07-2003 07:03

"Hi, we notice from our records that you haven't paid 20 years of council tax,"

or maybe " We notice that several of your library books are overdue"

Nidge 10-07-2003 11:42

I think we should all wish him well in his recovery, it must be a shock though waking up after 20 years, mind you at least the pop stars have got a little bit better.

eh? Is there something we should know: :naughty: :D

Seriously, Everything must be a bit of a shock. In terms of computers, I was using a Commodore 64 round about then. Today, I am typing this on a PC that is (in theory) 1,700 times faster and has 4,194,304 times the memory. Yep I am typing this on a 1.7GHz P4 with 256 Meg Ram.

Anyway, I wish him well in his recovery. Hope he can deal with the changes without requiring too much counselling...

Just a quick thought. Imagine if he got home and found twenty years of papers on the front doorstep...

Russ 10-07-2003 12:51

20 years in a coma? Are they sure he didn't just fall asleep listening to Radiohead or REM?

Mind you I did have one of those game things where you pressed the colours in a sequence to move to the next level.

I was only 4 or 5 at the time tho ;)

Lame excuse if you ask me.

They're not lame, just.....good at inducing a heavy sleep-like state :)

Apparently this guy isn't interested in finding out what he's missed in world affairs :)

Martin 10-07-2003 14:34

He'll have aged himself to!! Fancy waking up and your 39, now that would be a shocker. People have died in your family etc. Friends he once new well would maybe, be married and have children. The whole thing must be very weird.

Stuart 10-07-2003 14:57

Kronas, just think. Avril wasn't even alive when he had the crash...

Actually, if you are 17, neither were you...

Sadly, I believe that Ronald Reagan is no longer aware that he ever was the President of the USA.

Alzheimer's, I believe (Reagan, that is).

Lord Nikon 13-07-2003 22:41

to be honest, Reagan never seemed especially aware he was president of the US WHILE he was president of the US...
