Justify charging for half a package
Can someone tell me how NTL can inform me there will be an increase in my anologue from £37 to £47 and tell me that includes £9.50 for a phone line even though they also tell me I cannot have the phone as the cable is wrong, surely trading standards stops people selling part of a product for the full asking price. I wanted to upgrade to digital take the phone and Broadband but as I cannot I think the phone rental should be removed as I not only have to pay £47 but also £11 to BT to provide a phone that I am also paying NTL for.

Re: Justify charging for half a package
I believe NTL waive the £9.50 on a case-by-case basis if you cannot have a phone line.

Re: Justify charging for half a package
Not what Customer Service told me when I called, just got an attitude of tough which was very dissapointing, if this is the case I am cancelling after sticking with it since NTL took over my C&W subscription, I lost my phone (moved across the street) 5 years ago but didn't moan cos I thought it was still not bad value but now it feels that I am keeping all the same channels ut paying a 20 odd % price hike.

Re: Justify charging for half a package
If you are happy to then send me your details by PM - name and address, account number, phone number or email address. I work for ntl within the TV Product team. I will ask someone to look at this.

Re: Justify charging for half a package
Sam (she) is trustworthy, and not mention very helpful and truly interested in customers :)

Re: Justify charging for half a package
Once again Frank is absolutely right, Sam is a true Gem. :)
I think we can trust her. As an Ntl CSR myself the attitude of the person you spoke to is not on! If the phone service is not avaliable to you then something should be sorted out in way of a discount, however if the phone service IS avaliable and you don't want to take it well thats a different matter! :( |
