Re: Your Favourite Search Engine

Yep, I'm another Google user. It has a hugely large index, so chances are whatever the other search engines have, Google has it too.

Also, something I really like a lot is the fact that the home page loads so very quickly because it hasn't been filled with adverts - especially flash and DHTML animations. Nice and simple layout, just a logo, a search field and a few hyperlinks... can't say that about many other sites (although Booble is like this too, iirc).

Lastly, I also like the stuff they produce at Google Labs. If using Google as my preferred search engine helps fund (indirectly) the development of GMail, Google Earth, Picasa, Froogle, etc... then I'm all for it :)

I mostly use Google, but if it can't find something I want (quite often lately) I'll try either Yahoo! or Altavista.

I use Google nearly every time, though Yahoo can be quite good if you want to find local news and information....gives you a good customised page.

What a horrible way to layout the results, too much clutter, makes it almost impossible to see what the results actuall are!

With the number of tools available on GoLexa, it's easy to see why they came up with the catch phrase: "The Search Tool with Complete Page Analysis for each Result," because the engine certainly provides users with complete SEO analysis capability. So while GoLexa may be a little difficult on the eyes, it is quite functional and provides the SEO curious everything they need to perform analyses of all kinds.
It might not look great, but it delivers the goods :D

Metacrawler is a bit useless these days, because you don't see a huge number of websites who bother to put Meta Tags in
