Cool, does that mean we have to wear those red berets, like the Guardian Angels, when we post on CF :D

How quickly does the report post option get to a mod / admin ? there was an OP last week or begining of this week who joined to spam thier site, I managed to post in all 4 threads ( basically telling them to go forth and multiply ) before they were caught, I don't know how long after my posts it was. Not saying that the mods aren't busy here, they are, but if I could see a pattern to this 'new member' and 'troll' the threads, why couldn't a mod, as it was it was nothing more than spam, what if tho, it was something more sinister ?

:2cents:

P.S. This is in no way a dig at the team :nono:

Depends on the time of day, Bop. Reported posts start a thread in the team area. At most times of day one of us will spot and action it well within half an hour.

Besides all this, our law has a concept of what is 'reasonable' in it. We would be unlikely to be held liable for libel over something posted at 4am and removed at 9am, for example, as we dealt with it within a reasonable time.

The brotherhood would never condone such action.

You posted in four spam threads and reported none of them :erm: Shame on you - they will get spotted much quicker if you report them, mods are not all seeing, despite the rumours. :)

Fair do's, I know now, thats why I asked how quickly the team pick up on a reported post, I will of course do my bit from now on :tu: ;)

They had already been reported anyway. I spotted them and checked the reported post page before trying to report them and they were there so no need for me to take action.:)

Re: Moderators can be held liable court ruling

You don't need to check the reported posts page to know if a post has been reported - it will tell you when you try and report it. :)

Now then, thats interesting, if yahoo can be forced to turn over the id of the OP in question why then must a forum be held responsible for the posters

And along the same lines, the next person that calls me a moron, I'll see them in court :dozey:   :p:
