Champions League Final 2006
Does anyone know who will be covering the final on May 17th. ITV1 or Sky Sports, or both?
|
Re: Champions League Final 2006
The game will be shown on Skysports 1
:) |
Re: Champions League Final 2006
Both like last year when we won it 5 times I'd imagine.
|
Re: Champions League Final 2006
Hopefully ITV so more people can see Arsenal win

Re: Champions League Final 2006
Err...jellybaby says SS1 and Smicer says both. All I really need to know is that it will definitely be on ITV1. I'm about to cancel my Sky subscription and so I don't want to get caught out.

Re: Champions League Final 2006
If you check my link it says only SS1

Re: Champions League Final 2006
On the subject of this, it's ridiculous how Uefa allocate tickets, what is the point of selling so many to neutrals when they simply sell them on at unbelievably inflated prices? I just got quoted £1500 from a ticket agency.
---------- Post added at 12:36 ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 ---------- Edit that was for 1 ticket. |

I see that Townsend and McCoist are still not allowed back in the studio. They must have been naughty boys. |
Re: Champions League Final 2006
it just looks so unprofessional when McCoist and Townsend have to stand on the edge of the pitch.. on the plus side it means you can't always here what they are saying :D

Re: Champions League Final 2006
Villareal 0 Arsenal 0
The best team got knocked out IMO, but that's football, it reminded me of last years FA Cup final, all one way traffic, in fact I am not sure Arsenal had an attempt on goal................. Oh and er............that wasn't a penalty either |

Re: Champions League Final 2006
Come on Barca/Milan! Arsenal have only played one English player in the competition this season- Campbell tonight- so you can't really call them English!
|
Re: Champions League Final 2006

Re: Champions League Final 2006
Arsenel played appalingly badly last night - 80 minutes and NO attempts on goal?
I hope they get spanked in the final. |
Re: Champions League Final 2006
I hope Barca get to the final.
Then Henri won't mind losing to his new team mates :) |

Re: Champions League Final 2006
looks at how Arsenal have got there so far they haven't really played anyone
in the Group stages they beat Ajax 2-1 Away and then the rest of the teams don't count.. by the time they had to play Ajax at home they had already topped the group and that became an easy game against the ageing stars of Real Madrid they only managed one goal and had very few chances.. considering most of the team is past their prime and they need zimmer frames to get round the pitch Real weren't much opposition Juve despite being 10 points clear in Serie A never even turned up for either match at home to VillarReal they played a team set out not to do anything and never attacked or used any skill and still only got one goal.. in lasts nights match they were rubbish for 90 mins and VillarReal were all over them and deserved to score although they couldn't put the ball in the net.. when the pen was taken, Lehman had already dived over to his left and still Riquelme kicked it straight at him.. hardly a great save when the ball is kicked at out they get all the luck going and haven't been a great side but the results just keep falling their way |

Re: Champions League Final 2006
nice comments from Wnger but if he believes them the only way forward is to have it for just the champions and not have the positions going down to forth place in the league
the rules for the competition have changed and now the holders have to defend the trophy no matter where they finish in the league.. all teams entered the comp with this being the rules so is Arsenal finish 5th or lower and win it they will be in no matter what the FA say |

This is a achivement for Arsenal no matter how you try to spin it. They played bad yesterday but they managed to hold up. |
Re: Champions League Final 2006
Even more surprising when you consider Arsenal's shocking away record.
Still, a win would see BBking returning to the football thread! :D |
Re: Champions League Final 2006
The young team did do well this year in europe and hopefully this will transfer to the league next year. Regarding yesterday sometimes you need to be able to dig in and survive for 90 minutes when you seem to be playing really really REALLY bad.
