Does the 75 GB limit include upload as well

I'm currently on the NTL 10meg connection. I just wanted to know whether the usage limit of 75GB includes upload or is it only the download. It may be a stupid Q but some clarity on this would be really useful.

It is both, combined upload and download as well as 'normal' web browsing and gaming, in short, everything sent or recieved IIRC :tu:

From someone in the know and from a source that i have inside NTL, the 75gb download/upload limit isn't inforced. It is something that they put when they are advertising the 10mb service becuase they don't want someone to buy a 10mb line and then sell it on.

That is to say like get 10mb in one house in an estate and then have 4 house's connecting to it by wirelss for example.

I happily download lots of movies and songs a month, and go on xbox live and my brother does, plus checking of emails etc.

75GB/m is plenty even for the average user. I consider myself a heavy user and I never go over 30-40gb a month (even though Im on 2Mbps). That 30-40gb includes 2gb of website traffic to my server, which is very little.

I dont download torrents and music like I used to due to a few people in my area being fined for it etc. In fact, I havent torrented or downloaded music for about 2 months now.

That's old news - you will find it mentioned all over the BB section of the forum - however, you will come unstuck when the technology is ready, limits *will* be enforced (assuming they still have any). Oh, and btw - if you go really silly (100's GB per month) ntl will contact you, and if you persist, move to the naughty boys 512k service.

Really? Will this happen? I'd like to know how it's measured, 1st of the month to the 31st? Or billing dates?

In reality, given that June 1st is only 5 weeks away - I don't think you need to worry now.
