MSN Messenger down?
 

ok, for quite some time today i have been unable to access msn messenger... any1 else having the same prob? it was working fine this morning???

it is giving error "service is temporarily unavailable" error code: 81000314.... i restarted comp and rebooted modem... still same thing....:o::confused:

That error usually means it's a problem at their end i think, check here http://messenger.msn.com/Status.aspx

Im also on MSN and have been since 11:30 this morning. No problems here.

ok its weird... restarted the comp, and it wont work on one of my ID's, but works on the other ID... not windows account, but msn ID... weirddddddddd

They don't like you ;)

It's most likely because it thinks you've already logged in, or something stupid like that.

The server on which your account is located could be down or having problems.

Doesn't make a difference, the only difference between 7.5 and 8 is Protocol 13.

Protocol 12 is still active, and now everyone has access to Protocol 13 anyway.

See this thread here about it, seems to be a common problem, and there was an official reply from MS about it HERE

It's a server thing, I posted a link on Vforum about it, if your account is hosted on one of the servers that are playing up then you will have access problems until it's resolved.

Having problems here.

MSN v8 gives me an 81000306 error when trying to connect - says a problem with my internet connection (yet everything else works fine online).

Trillian (which I use all the time) connects fine no problems, but my list shows everyone offline (despite one of the kids being online MSN on their machine and I can't see them - and no, they don't have me on block :p)



I go and look at the service status and guess what!! "All systems are stable and running."

Yeah, right :(


This is just another reason for me to bin my hotmail account off and use yahoo instead. The new MSN live mail is pretty awful tonight too.
