speed test...

hey guys, i have been upgraded to the 10mb bband, and would like to test the speed. Can some1 give me a link to download a large file [200mb+] off a reliable server to test it........plzzzzz?

adslguide gives me 2mb, and CF's speed test gives me about 3-4mb:( .......

I use this place to conduct my speed test. It doesn't download any large files to my knowledge but does give an accurate result.

You could also try downloading a linux ISO which is going to be bigger than 200Mb to see what speeds you get.

Try here

Bit poor for 10Mbps :(

Try downloading this Linux ISO for a test.

The speed test at dslzoneuk.net that Cerberus posted just keeps looping round asking me to confirm my connection speed...
I select 2MB.... click begin.... wait a minute and it asks me again and again, never tells me my speed!

:Yikes:

Most I have ever seen using that site is 92% efficiency.

Your connection is performing very poorly (14% efficiency) for a 10240 Kbps service

As your result is under 50% or above 105%, it has not been recorded to the database.
This is to prevent any erroneous results from affecting your ISP's speed average.
That bugs me it makes ntl look better as all the low speed tests get trashed. I emailed the dev 3 weeks back no reply.

How about this then.

Why doesn't the graph go up to 10 Megs though? My result is not shown on the graph as it is too fast.
