Women are safer drivers eh?

Re: Women are safer drivers eh?
LOL - I like how Sky have branded this 'Breaking News' there must be nothing else happening today.

Re: Women are safer drivers eh?
Women are generally are safer drivers and the crashes they have tend to be a much lower speeds, and that's why we can get lower insurance premiums.
The fact that this woman is a bad driver doesn't change that. I haven't seen a man putting his make up on, but they certainly do other equally stupid things, and often at dangerous speeds. Too much testosterone perhaps? ;) |

Thats nothing, i know a truck driver who was stopped by police on the M62 motorway,
The officer said "eating a pie whilst driving i can live, with but reading the newspaper at the same time i cant" :Yikes: He got 3 points for due care and attention. |

Is drugged driving not an offence in itself? Well, I know it's offensive, but legally I mean.

You would have thought (or hoped) that after the 1st accident he would have realised that with the wrong person behind the wheel a car is a deadly weapon. |

Its actually due to the fact that: 1) Women average fewer miles per year than men, so the less you drive, the less chance you'll make a mistake and crash. 2) Women drive smaller, cheaper cars that are cheaper to repair. That's why they have lower insurance permiums. Skill doesn't really enter into it much. |

One other accident I have had while driving it was wet and I could not quite stop in time, the cars tow ball in front of me slight fractured my front bumper. No claim was made from either party. During all the miles I have done I have seen as many women as men do very stupid things that are a danger to themselves and others. Insurance should be based on personal performance more than what you have between your legs and what chromosones you have, firms like diamond should be screwed into the EU courts for discrimination. |

You get cheaper insurance? Diamond are a rip off, their quotes were £300 more for my Mrs than even the AA £300 they wanted £650 to insure her fully comp on a 1.0 fiat Uno yet I paid £300 to be insured fully comp on a 1.8 Vectra. She has more no claims than me, has been driving longer and had no accidents. |

Oh that's ok then!! She was having a 'blonde moment', 'all her friends do it' and she "can't see what the fuss is about"!! Perhaps a drink driver (which she also is) could try that reaction next time? It's a shame she couldn't be banned for life for having such a flippant attitude to driving. |
