Google Maps

Just a quick heads up that Google have increased the number of high res images in their database. We can actually see our house now lol. Amazing detail too, check our the excel center on the Thames and you can see the drop off points and disabled driving markings.

Was using it to check a route and noticed that there were new images available from the start point ;) Just goes to show that they are still expanding the image library.

Thanx for the heads up mate.

Interesting how these pictures have only just been updated... They are quite old.

Most of the images are 1-2 years old I think, just takes time to source high res images of each area and then stitch them together. They are getting there, very slowly admitedly ;)

Re: Google Maps

The pics of my area are atleast 5 years old, and not very well stitched together, the houses across the road are duplicated 3 times, it makes my street look twice as long. :erm:
