They will be on hold longer than that for BT if they rang 150..... somewhere behind the other 1200+ souls holding on for an adviser :erm:

Remember Bulldog is C&W and remember how bad they were for customer service waiting times. Looks like it has not changed :)

Nope ;) One of the C's under my avatar stands for Command :p: And yes I can multitask, I was networking, recording our hourly figures and talking to a manager on the phone just after posting
Now I'm just skiving :D

haha funny. But waiting time is less important then first time resolution in my opinion. As long as its a free call I can stick the speakerphone on and dont mind waiting.

Both are inmportant. Yes your call needs resolution, but all the time you are on hold, you are tied to your desk and can't do anything else. A few minutes wait is tolerable - you can't expect companies to have call centre staff sitting on their butts doing nothing on the offchance they will get a call, but waits exceeding 10 minutes says they need more staff, and says they will loose any customers who have an ability to go elsewehere.

So you would wait the hour that they did last night to talk to bulldog, also remember that they had still not got through when the programe ended. I would dump any company who had me on hold for over 60 mins. I have better things to do with my life.

Re: ITV call centre test

My point was first time resolution shouldnt be sacrificed for waiting times. Ideally both should be satisfactory but if I remember correctly bulldog keep their call centre in the uk and they could follow other companies outsource to india and probably cut waiting times to 5 to 10 mins but first time resolution would be out the window.

60 mins would be taking the **** but if the porblem got resolved I would soon forget about it.
