JFK - Finally the Truth?

The BBC reports:
Quote:

A new documentary exploring the death of John F Kennedy claims his assassin was directed and paid by Cuba.
Could this now finally be the whole truth?

It would explain quite a few things, but will it raise new questions?

The JFK assassination has fascinated me from the day it happened (yes, I am old enough - just - to remember it) and every documentary seems to uncover some new information, but none have ever really answered all the burning questions.

I will be watching this with interest.

Everyone knows it was Majestic 12 that shot him - as he was about to reveal the truth about Roswell :erm: ;)

I did a project on this at school and always been fascinated with it.

I love the movie JFK, but from reading reports afterwards it sounds like the Kevin Costner character was clutching at straws a little and even bribed witnesses etc....

I remember another documentary on BBC explaining that it could easily have been Lee Harvey-Oswald and that the official reason was perfectly acceptable.

IMO there is more too it, but its something we will never know the truth about (until we invent a time machine) !

Re: JFK - Finally the Truth?

JFK is fearful b*ll*x, it's a fictional film. Don't trust it.

I read the Warren Commission report many years ago and it seems pretty comprehensive, when added to the released KGB files about Oswald's time in the USSR - Oswald was definitely interested in Cuba and angry about US policy towards it (particularly Kennedy's Bay of Pigs stunt). However, I doubt even the Cubans would be desperate enough to use him as an agent - the CIA and KGB had both concluded he was stupid and unreliable, and he was in a position to be very useful to both. Using an unreliable agent who's already on the radar of every intelligence service isn't a good idea.

So no doubt he was there, had the means, little doubt that he fired the shots, little doubt that he was the only gunman, no doubt he had a motive and little doubt that no intelligence agency would rely on him. All points to a conspiracy of, er, one.

The really interesting question is why Jack Ruby shot him.

Question: How many people did Oswald attempt to shoot?

Should all know JFK shot himself, ala Red Dwarf ;).

Yes he was there. Did he fire the shots, or was he just a diversion for others? Maybe he had a motive, and if you can't rely on someone to do the job, maybe you can rely on him taking the fall.

There is little doubt in my mind that there is more to the JFK assassination than the lone gunman.

There you go. Sort of messes up the lone gunman theory.

If he fired any of the shots from the Book Depository, then I would assume they were intended for JFK. Whether or not any of his shots reached there target is another matter.

I personally think 50 cent went back in time and shot him..

Actually, seriously, the think I really like about Conspiracy Theories is that even if, one day, somebody does announce the truth, there will be someone, somewhere, that dismisses it as a cover up.

There have been many cases in Cold War America of people being murdered because they were 'communists'. In this case Oswald was not only seen as a communist but he killed the American President.

I am more surprised they didnt have better protection of Oswald, many people would have want to kill him

Maybe the mob employed him to do the deed. They have been presented as possibly wanting JFK out of their hair. Then Ruby killed Oswald to make sure he didn't talk.

Actuaully I don't believe in any conspiracy plot...It's just that JFK's death was so truamatic for the USA and the world that they/we had to go looking for a conspiracy theory.Just like they did with Diana.

Oswalds lone guilt is not beyond reasonable doubt.

And maybe they didn't. In which case Ruby would have no real reason to kill Oswald - at least not in front of the whole world plus dozens of policemen.

In which case, which explanation works for you? (And doesn't leave you with any unresolved riddles.)

I'm not sure they went looking for a conspiracy - at first it seemed simple - Oswald done it. But then, when people started looking at it in detail, doubt was thrown up.

It's that doubt that lead to people believing in a conspiracy.

Yeah - because of the doubt over the driver. Because of the doubt over the filthy papparazzi.

Sorry to split hairs but it's called Majestic, Majestic 12 is the twelve person in Majestic.

Well the Kenedy assassin was his driver http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~he...25/page01.html

No it doesn't.

Anyway, Oswald tried to shoot JFK, Officer Tippett and General Edwin Walker, a right-wing anti-communist (and racist, actually). There was a clear motive in each case.

If you look at the driver, he looks round to JFK, now this bloke is suposed to be skilled, and tell the difference between a car backfiring and gun shot, if he heard a gun shot he should have dumped the clutch and burnt rubber.

I feel that he was to make he died, if the others failed. when you see Jackie climbing to get his brains (as told by press), she was fleeing from her husbands murderer, she didn't say anything because the same people had her kids.

I can never understand why this is still such a big thing. Let's face it, it was 40-odd years ago now so, if no-ones come up with the definitive theory over that time, I doubt that anyone ever will

Just my two cents, as ever :)

You obviously have far too much work to do to let your brain be occupied with conspiracy theories. the rest of us are simply not as busy hehehehe

Wasn't that busted? The ice bullet didn't survive the firing of the gun and the meat one disappeared.
