Game are not listing it on their site, and since they are happily taking orders for Halo 2 already then perhaps there is some truth in this.

Seem's to me that this game won't be out in the UK until sometime in the new year, hence the cancellations. Why does the European market get treated so badly compared to the US/Japanese markets - must be one thing only:- MONEY.

OR... it was never coming to Europe in the first place. There has never been an official annoucement. A game like GTA and you'd expect there to be much fanfare about it. But nothing. It wouldn't be the first time that a game would be released in one region and not another.

Sony regard both the PES series and the GTA series as important titles for the European market, particularly the UK. Isn't it possible that Amazon and co assumed since it was getting a US release, that it was also getting released in Europe, and so started taking pre-orders? But they've since been told that it won't get a UK release? At the very very least, Sony may have forced them to hold back any announcements till after Xmas, and the retailers have been told that the game does not yet have a planned release date, and may never have.

Part of me suspects that it'll be out sometime next year. However, I have a feeling that Sony may only have changed part of its exclusivity deal, covering the US, but will not allow it to be released in the UK. Just a hunch.

Its now no longer listed on Amazon.

Whatever the politics involved with Sony's deal, this game will eventually turn up in the UK, maybe not this year, but it will come. There's a fist full of money to be made and the developers/publishers will want a slice of the pie.

WE6FE never ever came to the US and UK GC's. Just Japan. Sony have a worldwide exclusive on WE and PES. But they relaxed the agreement, just for the Japanese market. WE6FE would have sold a bucket load over here in the UK. But Sony's agreement would not let them release it. It's looking like VC is going the same way. I can't see any other reason Amazon would send that mail.

yes. i know. its still due a US release. Interestingly its back on amazon uk again. even though they cancelled my order with the afore mentioned email. i've re-ordered it again.


I've just emailed Amazon to ask them what they're playing at.

The Xbox GTA III/Vice City double pack still doesn't have a UK release date... but here's a taster of it


I'm confident we're getting a release now that amazon have cleared things up. but you have to be aware that there has still not been any official announcement for the UK, just speculation. Its exactly the same as what happened with WE6FE, which never did come out. Thank goodness for freeloader.

The graphics seem allot clearer. Really noticed it when a car over turned. The detial was gr8.

I took me a while to get used to te controls but then again I was used to the Playstation version

Sounds good cant wait i had gat 3 for pc but my pc was crap then so i dont have it anymore so i cant wait to play gta 3 again and vice city should be very fun! :D
