This is the page i want but i can't work out how to get it as the main page. Also i want the links in the centre of the page.

Re: Help
you need to name that page (the one you attached) index.html then rename the file that is being initally loaded at the moment something else, like "home.html". Then access that page from the "click here to enter" link.

Re: Help
it looks like you have renamed your file "index.html.html"
take off the final ".html" and it will work!! |

*edit* as for the center thing - make sure you have the tag <center> at the start of the things you want centered (ending with </center>) |

Re: Help
Perhaps try here: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/...ml_cheatsheet/
I found the best way to learn is to read and practice. Also look at other people's websites, if you like what they have done, look in the source code and you'll pick up loads of cool tips. If you can't be assed to do that then i suggest you goto sites like: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ which have lots of pre-coded bits and bobs you can just copy and paste into your page. Good luck!! |

Re: Help
Still no luck its at the left hand side and i want it in the CENTRE.

so its <center> text you want in the middle </center> |
Re: Help
You spelled center correctly.
The reason it's not working is that you still have a </center> tag in your 'click here to enter' line. Remove it. The entire chunk you want centred should begin <center> and there should be no </center> tag until after the last bit you want in the centre. The whole lot should look like this: Code:
<html> |

What about placing images on the righthand side like this
|
Re: Help
Quote:
Code:
<img src="your image source here" align="right"> |
Re: Help
Still not right i want the image on the same level as the Holly Valance image.
|
Re: Help
not sure if my memory is failing me, but i would have done
<div align=right> <img src=http://www.nicka.demon.co.uk/images/*the picture you want*.JPG></div> |

try this: Code:
<table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center"> |
Re: Help
Still not right

Re: Help
Try adding a third table cell:
Code:
<td width="33%"></td>EDIT: Can you post exactly the code you have used on that page so far, or put it somewhere we can link to it? |
