TV guide issue
Hi my to guide hadn't updated since Friday 20th, and only shows programming up to fri 6th march, but terrestrial to channels only show up to fri 27th Feb. System info shows my box is connecting to network successfully every 6 hours as usual, but it doesn't download any programme info. I have tried rebooting and forcing a connection but still the same result. Any ideas? I have tried the service checker and VM says there is an issue with broadband in my area, but why would that affect the to if the box successfully connects to the network?

Some channels show data well beyond Friday, so I'd only start worrying if this isn't populated by midweek. |
Re: TV guide issue
Ok thanks for letting me know it's not just me. Fingers crossed it will update soon. Please can you let me know if or when yours updates, so I can check my box. Thanks again

The EPG is getting worse by the day, so I emailed my contact at the office of the CEO and copied him in to each error I came across. The response appeared to be AI originated and said that, because the V6 has been superseded by the 360, it's apps were gradually becoming out of date and the problem would go away if I ordered the 360!!! |

Don't report guide data errors to the CEO's office. They can't deal with them. Send them to tivoguideerrors at virginmedia.co.uk. You might not get a reply but they will be dealt with. |

Re: TV guide issue
My only annoyance with the EPG, is that for some reason Virgin TV Ultra HD is not listed on the Virgin TV Go app and website, so you can't view listings and set recordings on this UHD channel.
I completely understand the channel not being available to watch on Virgin TV Go (which is presumably for licensing reasons) but not being able to view listings and set recordings makes no sense. I can view the listings and set recordings on Virgin Movies Previews or Virgin TV Previews, but not Virgin TV Ultra HD! |

One thing I have noticed with the EPG, is where you have a long running series, eg Casualty, and the title of an episode gets used again across the various series. In that instance the newer episode with the same title gets mixed up with an older episode. |
