Every Day Money Saving Tips - What are yours?

https://www.everup.uk/gift-card-deals
Buy discounted Gift Cards and use them to purchase from dozens of retailers, the app is legit and it connects to your bank to buy instantly, no credit or debit cards needed.

I use this app weekly to pay for my Tesco shopping using gift cards saving me between 4.3%-5.15% each time.

What are your every day money saving tips?

Re: Every Day Money Saving Tips - What are yours?

If after something specific check out deals on Hotukdeals. If buying what is down as a deal on Amazon ie Black Friday and so on check out the price history on CamelCamelCamel see if it is a deal or just a blag as they so often are and if not Amazon check out PriceSpy

Topcashback and Quidco also for cashback

Not money saving per se but when buying from China or something you are taking a punt on as they do often pay off I use a disposable virtual debit card on Skrill. Top it up with what it costs use it if it is a scam then you delete the card and make a new one

Just discovered Amazon subscriptions, where you get a cheaper price for items if you 'subscribe'. However there doesn't seem to be any restriction on cancelling subscriptions So buy your item at the cheaper subscription price, once delivered cancel the subscription. I dont bother if its pence different, but when its pounds worth doing.

E.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...b_b_prod_image
6 bottles of drinkable Aussie plonk. £38 , but £34 if subscribing, plus there's £9.54 discount voucher. So around £24 for 6 bottles. Just ordered my 2nd case. Cheers :)

There are often vouchers on S&S well worth keeping an eye on stuff. I just added 2 x 24 cans of pepsi max and max with mango for £5.50 and £6 per crate

Tell her about the EVERUP app and save her alot more, it easily pays for my IPTV and VPN for a whole year.

I sent her a message. She hasn't got Quidco or do matching rates. She just gets excited when she sees topcashback deals.

I'm still surprised it's only me and Paul that use it because it's easier than any other cashback methods and quicker.

Re: Every Day Money Saving Tips - What are yours?

£3 cashback bonus at Quidco, it's a limited opt in for selected accounts, not sure if it'll work for me it let me opt in but I never got a targeted email. Topcashback works so much better.

It's a shame gift cards are excluded so I'm going to have to buy something.

Quote:

£3 Bonus
The next time you shop with us, we’ll give you a £3 bonus – in addition to any retailer cashback you earn. And there’s NO minimum spend.

Simply opt in to the bonus, and shop with one of 5,000(ish) retailers on Quidco.

Ends 31/12/2026 at 23:59.

I haven't seen one on Topcashback since before Christmas, however I'm making atleast £2 a week cashback using my Everup app, which pays for my dodgy TV subscriptions.

Ok so I understand that i don't really have clue about what was done on my tablet but my granddaughter set it up via duck duck go and I don't need to log in to any site I use:confused: It's just comes up as entered

Yes, most apps remember you once you have logged in.
So you dont have to again (some require you to enter a PIN).
Everup doesnt, you have to login everytime.

Are you still using it weekly like me? I've only ever used it with Tesco so far, normally the % discount fluctuates but it's been stuck at 4% for 2 weeks.

Paul 07-02-2026 02:08

Re: Every Day Money Saving Tips - What are yours?

Using it as needed, not necessarily weekly, last time was earlier in the week.

SnoopZ still owes me £6. His money saving expertise aren't as good as you think. I'd consider SnoopZ as a good spotter. foxofblackmarket

I have an account on TCB, so I logged into it, and I see no mention of any such bonus ?

I'm worried about you my CF friend that prances around in skimpy shorts 24/7. :D

You're very good at screwing yourself over when you buy things... THAT phone and THAT TV. ;)

However if you had installed the EVERUP app and used it weekly I would have saved you a small fortune. :p:

Weird that you have to go on a completely different site to see any mention.

Anyway, bought a £10 Asda Card, and got £2.27 back, which is now being transferred to my Paypal account. :)

Just checked their main website and it pops up in the scrolling banner but as I visit HotUKDeals daily I usually see it there first.

Is this user specific because I hardly ever use Quidco but thought I'd sign in to check but got nothing?

Just got my usual weekly £2.94 savings on a £70 Everup Tesco Gift card, at least this is guaranteed and instant.

I never got an email. Just a notification. If your account wasn't included then I'd suspect it would say so. Also it's for the first 10k. I think you're safe to proceed.

I just took the risk as it said my opt in was a success, how long before I get a notification as to whether I get the £3 as it's pretty instant on HotUKDeals?

I forgot to disable my adblocker in Vivaldi so I may have screwed up!

It's tracked the £3 but it's says pending a purchase, so either it takes a while or I messed up.

Contact their support chat or raise a cashback claim. Either of them will tell you more about purchase.

The £20 has now tracked and the £3 bonus says tracked but they haven't been paired together yet because that's saying pending. I think I did it correctly with buying a £20 gift card.

thenry 14-03-2026 20:14

Yeah it's for 20 or more. Go to chatbot and just leave a message regarding it. They will manually process it. They might ask for a screenshot of proof of purchase an email with order number etc.

Everything is tracked and paired with the bonus how long before the bonus becomes payable usually?

Yes it took a day to reach my bank but Topcashback let's me request it instantly unlike Quidco is what I meant, however someone on HotUKDeals says it takes about a week before I can put in the request.

Cashback and bonus received and sent to bank account.

Re: Every Day Money Saving Tips - What are yours?

Selected Accounts only(check yours) it's only available today.

Free £2 bonus on £10 spend on Topcashback, so that's another Tesco Gift card purchased to add to all the others bought on the cheap with EVERUP.

£2.26 of free money already on its way to my bank account, that would be a month or more of paying for IPTV so it's all good.

Quidco are doing £5 bonus on £15 spend today but they have so many retailer restrictions and can't be used on gift cards it's not very appealing.

What I like about Topcashback is alot less restrictions and they payout quickly on bonuses, their bonus from yesterday is already in my Bank account.
