Favourite Soda?

Do you have a favourite Soda?

Pepsi Max Lime was mine but I seem to currently enjoy Fanta Zero Sugar more lately.

Anyone got a recommendation to put in the fridge?

Pepsi cans are normally on offer around £6

I normally get 2x 2 litre bottles of pepsi max no caffeine in Tesco express clubcard £3.50.

Same here 2x 2 litre bottles from Tesco when on offer, if not on offer it's something else like 7up zero, those are my 3 go toos on my weekly shop.

Supermarkets alternate the offers but those pepsi bottles in Tesco express have been on offer for months. I've gone through loads.

Mistakenly during COVID I started to drink coca cola 1 litre for £1. Now I'm paying for it trying to get rid of the weight gain! The security guard caught on to it and tried to warn me it's no good for me. I didn't listen :(

I really like vanilla coca cola. A throwback :D

No it's what we English gentlemen put in our Gin old chap before we go out on the lawn for a game of croquet, now if you'll excuse me i'm orf to polish me mallet;)

Our family prefer the 2 litre own-brand pop from Aldi, all the different flavours. But my tipple of choice is Lidl's own brand cola.

Morrison's own brand Ginger Beer and Shandy make a nice change for our lad and myself.

The only time in many years that I have had an actual bottle of (full fat) Coca-Cola was a couple of days ago when it was part of a Morrison's Meal deal.

Cor!! not polished my mallet for years, and the only hoops I ever see are those I have to jump through if filling out online forms.

Thought you'd be more of a Water Polo chap though ;)

The best 'soda' is Schweppes Soda water, only used for Mojitos.

As for fizzy 'pop' diet pepsi and full fat lemonades.

Sad to hear mate, was it global warming, migration, or simply the wrong type of water?

Soda is an americanism I believe.

There used to be loads of Elder near the river Taff, but over the years it has been "trimmed" so much that it all disappeared. Ditto the odd Sloe, but they got stripped too early each year, a pointless exercise.

Another syrup that my Nan made was Rosehip. Her pantry in late Autumn glowed with the many bottles of it she made.

In the 60s, a recipe appeared in the Echo for Boston Cream Soda. Egg white, tartaric acid and lemon juice, diluted and then bicarb added to make it fizz. Then along came the scare stories about eggs....
