Brother DCP-9015CDW
I just purchased a Brother DCP-9015CDW for £50. Does anybody have any life experience with this model or similar? Also where do I source parts other than Brother themself?

Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
I have the L3550CDW
Toners for your model on ebay very cheap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123922383...6hdjUluvyEdA23 ---------- Post added at 19:04 ---------- Previous post was at 19:02 ---------- Drums on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224601503...r=524317364777 ---------- Post added at 19:04 ---------- Previous post was at 19:04 ---------- set of drums and toners https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224601503...r=524317364778 ---------- Post added at 19:05 ---------- Previous post was at 19:04 ---------- you should not have to change the drum very often same as the toner . If it in low it might be worth changing both or wait for it to tell you what you need Brothers are always the way to go even the newest models tend to have 3rd party consumables by the time you run out of what it ships with |
Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
On Brothers site reviews mentioned compatible parts being rejected, is that true?
How are the compatible parts compared to OEM? |

Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
Toner carries the powder think of it as a reservoir but of a dry powder
The drum gets charged by the laser and is what directs the toner to the paper so the drum is the most important part but lasts quite a long time Drums normally last 4 or 5 toners so somewhere around 10000 pages ---------- Post added at 19:48 ---------- Previous post was at 19:47 ---------- you can reset the drum counter as long as you have no issues with your prints https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NovsDGY5RM |

Ah everything has a shelf life I'm not going keep up with it.

Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
thing is in theory if it has been hardly used it will not have deteriorated like an inkjet would

Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
If its currently functional, then its not a bad deal for that model (and a laser printer in general).
If you're going to have to start replacing bits, then its not such a good deal. |
Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
Please help me
The printer has arrived and it says low toner. Black is ok and I have 2 replacement cartridges but the others, c, m and y are showing full on the status monitor but all 3 c, m and y have an x. The printer itself says no toner, cyan magenta and yellow. Are they actually full but brother is rejecting them? What should I do or buy? Thank you for all your help. |
Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
maybe unload and reload the carts force the printer to scan for them. Search for the model and resets see if it can reset the counters and then allow you to test it

Re: Brother DCP-9015CDW
You are a star. I just dismantled it, put it back together and all toners are showing full. Thank you very much :tu:
I done a factory reset as well while I was at it |
