EE TV
I was thinking of going to Sky Stream when my VM contract ends in a few weeks and then I had a look at EE TV . Looks interesting.

Last time I looked they had a half price offer for the whole length of the contract. It includes Sky Atlantic too. |

Re: EE TV
As far as I can see you have to have EE broadband to have EE TV, which makes it an instant no.

Re: EE TV
Without an EE broadband service all you will be buying is a Freeview box. With an EE service you also get the box free and Netflix, NOW Entertainment, and discovery+ Basic.'

Re: EE TV
Boxes can have a number of streaming aps installed (even my tv has). You can't use them without a subscription though.
If you mean a dedicated apple tv box you will still need an apple tv subscription to access apple tv. |

Re: EE TV
just in case it all goes 'silly' with VM I've been looking at the BT stuff (BB + TV package)
That EE TV Pro looks to be ok (as in it will record what her indoors probably wants, has catchup etc) so does anyone have it, and is it as good as it sounds? |
Re: EE TV
Only just seen this - I have one here. Box is OK but channel selection is quite limited.

Re: EE TV
Cheers :tu:
Mainly it's her soaps, gladiators, celebrity crap, quiz shows, anything with Ant & Dec, dancing on ice, idiots with (no) talent, any 'real life' stuff involving hospitals, hotels, vets, house & garden makeovers . . the usual mulch that makes up 95% of normal free to air TV. She's happy with it, I avoid it, if she can record it and/or get it on catch-up it works for me :D |
Re: EE TV
I only watch ITV stuff using ITVX - programmes are about 20% shorter without the ads.
You can get Sky stuff on EEtv via NOW Quote:

Re: EE TV
Definitely worth a closer look then, and probably cheaper than VM will offer me in April
|
Re: EE TV
They sent me an offer today as I am on BT BB for the TV package for £2 per month for 6 months but it is a 2 year contract but might save someone a few quid if they can get the offer
|
Re: EE TV
Yes I'll be going BB + TV if I move to BT . . that's at least gonna save me the line rental (rip-off) anyway ;)
