Virgin no longer allow VPN's?

Someone has recently found that their laptop won't connect to their VPN.

A pidgin English Virgin chat response says that Virgin no longer allow this!

Is this really the case, or is it the usual CS BS?

My VPN works fine. Typical overseas answer to anything for any company - if it is not on their script.

They maybe don't support it as they don't want to be sorting out everyone's wfh connection. But they don't block it. Half the country wouldn't be able to work.

Yes, she works from home and needs it to work.

I'll let her know what people have said.

Apparently, Essential Security (child safety setting) wasn't disabled.

It has to be disabled on Virgin accounts in order for VPN to work.

Its their Virus & Parental Control settings, under Online Security in your VM account settings.

Why on earth that would block VPNs I have no idea.

It's quite selective - it blocks built-in VPN on my phone's browser, but not the VPN on my laptop.

I don't have any issue accessing this site on my Windows pc through my VPN (PIA). I do know that some sites I visit sometimes get blocked but changing the region my VPN is connected to fix this. Usually it is a range of IP addresses that are blocked by the site.

Doesn't matter where and it is blocking the download.

Does the site work if you disable Kaspersky? If it does then that's where your problem is. Try a different VPN.
